Common questions
How long does a validation take on site?
A full validation including the free service takes around 3–4 hours per autoclave. The unit is usable again the same day. Our techs work around your clinical schedule so chair time isn't disrupted.
Is the free service really included?
Yes. When you book your Dentsply Sirona or Melag validation under the EOFY offer, we include the full annual service — valued at $300 — at no additional charge. Replacement parts, if needed, are quoted separately and only carried out with your approval.
Do I really need to validate every year?
Yes. AS 5369:2023 requires annual revalidation of every steam steriliser used in dental practice. Skipping a year leaves you non-compliant and exposed under audit.
Can I claim this in the 2025–26 financial year?
Invoices issued before 30 June 2026 fall in the 2025–26 Australian financial year. Whether and how the cost is deductible for your specific practice depends on your structure and tax position — your accountant is the right person to confirm.
Which autoclave models do you service?
Both Dentsply Sirona (DAC Premium, DAC Professional and earlier DAC units) and the full Melag range — Vacuklav 23 B+, 24 B+, 31 B+, 41 B+, 43 B+, 44 B+, Cliniklav 25 and Premium variants. Earlier units in good service condition are also covered. If you're not sure your model is included, call us with the serial number.
What documentation do I receive?
You receive a signed AS 5369-compliant Validation Certificate, a full OQ & PQ Report with thermocouple data and graphs, and a Service Record for the autoclave's log book. Documents are provided digitally; printed copies on request.
What if my autoclave fails validation?
If a fault is identified during validation, the technician will document it, quote any required repair on the spot, and re-test once the repair is complete — generally on the same visit where parts are on the van.
Do you service multiple autoclaves in one visit?
Yes — and we encourage it. The free annual service applies to each machine we validate, and when we validate two or more autoclaves on the same visit we also waive the $189 callout fee. Multi-machine practices get the biggest EOFY saving.
