MELAG Autoclave Error Codes

First rule: if a cycle aborts before the drying phase, the load is not sterile. Repack it and run it again, then look up the error.

MELAG Vacuklav 41 B+, Vacuklav 43 B+ Evolution, Dentsply Sirona DAC Premium. The DAC Premium is the Vacuklav 43 B+ in Dentsply Sirona colours. Colour touchscreen, three-digit error numbers, a QR code on the error screen for the MELAconnect app.

Other MELAG models

Vacuklav 40 B+ and 44 B+ Evolution and the Pro-class share the numbered error system; use the 43 B+ guide. Euroklav and Cliniklav are closer to the 23 B+ scheme. MELAtherm washer-disinfectors and the DAC Universal handpiece steriliser have their own codes; call us with the number and we will tell you what it means.

The three faults behind most calls

• Feed water quality. Someone topped up with tap water or the MELAdem cartridge is exhausted. Error 63/72 on the Evolution range, F25 on the 23 B+.
• Pressure release or drain blocked. A scrap of pouch paper in the chamber filter, a kinked waste hose or a blocked siphon. Error 102/187 on the Evolution range, F04 on the 23 B+.
• Door not sealing or not opening. Dirty seal, dry spindle, or just not waiting long enough for the chamber to equalise. Error 81/83/82 on the Evolution range, F01/F09/F12 on the 23 B+.
